Hmmm, not sure what would kill an ethernet/wan/lan port on the back of a new desktop. I don't see it under system devices as a single item. I looked in devicemanager and I don't really see anything other than a multitude of WAN miniport items - ikev2, ip, ipv6 etc etc all are 'working properly'. If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. I can't find the thing really in adapters - that shows blutooth and wifi but no lan port. It was working last night and via the cable at the back of the desktop and the back of the ISP provided modem/wifi unit. Catch is, not via the lan port it was on. The older versions of Killer products wont be supported by this software. The Intel Killer Control Center can be installed on any system with one or more of these network adapters. They did a troubleshoot and the Windows 10 pro did its trick and they basically turned on wifi on the desktop had internet. The Intel® Killer Control Center installers contain drivers for Intel® Killer Wireless Products, and Intel Killer Ethernet products. My mother went to the desktop and declared to my father no internet (but the phones had internet).
I missed the start of this problem as I was in bed. This package contains the driver for the Killer E2X00 and E3X00 Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
